LaCorata Beverage LLC Makes Substantial Donation of Graasi Organic Barley Water to Lowcountry Food Bank for Distribution to Partner Agencies

CHARLESTON S.C. – March 21, 2023 -- The Lowcountry Food Bank announced today that LaCorata Beverage has made a substantial donation of 16 ounce Graasi Organic Barley Water bottles to Lowcountry Food Bank. Lowcountry Food Bank is distributing the water to its partner agencies to give directly to neighbors who experience food insecurity throughout the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina it serves.

Graasi is made from barley grass juice powder, which is gluten free. This product is made from tender, harvested young grass which provides powerful nutritional value.

"Our community and all its families matter," said Chris LaCorata, Founder and President of Graasi, the water manufacturer. "We are all in this together and so thrilled to partner with Lowcountry Food Bank to provide our organic barley water to those in need in Lowcountry communities."

Lowcountry Food Bank believes that greater access to nutritious food can help break the cycle of hunger and alleviate food insecurity. Approximately 40% of the food Lowcountry Food Bank distributed last year was fresh produce.
